Subject: Painted Coconut with scenes from Krishna Leela. This coconut shell has scenes from Krishna Leela painted on it. Krishna is playing the flute and is surrounded by gopis. Coconut is a common fruit in Odisha, its endospermic shell is hard and durable. These are used in crafts by intricate whittling of the shell and then painting designs on them.
