Subject: Surya Saree. This saree has a traditional anchal (end) with motifs of flowers and laxmipada (feet of Goddess Lakshmi). The body has an all-over design of the surya (sun) motif. The color scheme of the saree is red and orange. This saree was procured from weaver Bhagabana Meher.

Subject: Tarabali Khandua silk Saree (Red). This saree has taraballi or band of stars of sky or a lozenge design on the body along with floral motifs on border and anchal. The color scheme of the saree is red and black. It is especially worn during bridal ceremonies. This object was procured from Nuapatna No 2 Weavers Cooperative Society Ltd.

Subject: Badafula Khandua Silk Saree (Blue). The body of this saree is decorated with big flowers (badafula) arranged in an all-over pattern developed by single ikat method and has a traditional anchal (end). It is popularly known as 'Badafula' saree. This object was procured from Nuapatna No 2 Weavers Cooperative Society Ltd.

Subject: Border Jhoti Tie & Dye Saree. Jhoti Chitta is a traditional Odia white art mostly shown in rural areas of Odisha. It is made during festivals like marriage, Manabasa Gurubara and Raja Praba. The tradition of jhoti chitas has been utilized used to make saree prints. This saree has laxmipada (feet of Goddess Lakshmi) and Jhoti design all over the body and anchal. This saree was procured from weaver Bhagabana Meher.

Subject: Silk Stole. This is a silk stole dyed in black color and has a lozenge pattern on its body in golden color. Front side of the stole. This saree was procured from weaver Bhagabana Meher.

Subject: Tussar Saree. The anchal (end) of the saree has a traditional jhoti chitas design along with smaller lotus and fish design. The color scheme of the saree is white body and a maroon anchal. This saree was procured from Sankhamani Meher.

The ethnic art form of palm leaf engraving essentially consists of inscribing designs on palm-leaf. The artists of palm leaf etchings use themes of mythological incidents, gods and goddesses figures. Subject: Ghicha Than (Brown / Chocolate). Tussar silk is a wide variety of silk extracted from silkworms feeding on local trees like Sal, Arjun and Saja. Tussar silk has a rich coarse texture and natural deep gold color. Odisha is one of the major Indian states that produces silk. Tussar ghicha silk yarn is drawn by hand out of tussar moth cocoons without any twist. It is obtained mostly from pierced, cut, flimsy, insect damaged and double cocoons. This object was procured from Utkalika, Odisha State Co-operative Handicraft Corporation Ltd.

In iron sheet craft, the iron bars are cut to required lengths and beaten to shape as per design and then joined using iron wires or sometimes by rivets. If the design requires embossing and raising, wooden dice are used to apply pressure. A coat of black paint is applied to the end product. The designs are essentially tribal in nature, and sometimes abstract. This object has been loaned by State Institute for Development of Arts & Crafts (SIDAC).

This craft has a tribal lineage and flourishes in the tribal belts of Odisha. This object was procured from Integrated Tribal Development Agency, Panposh (Assistant Director of Textiles, Sundargarh) that procured from Tasil Toppo.
