Subject: Kalamohan Bomkai Cotton Saree. The Bomkai saree got its name from the Bomkai village in Odisha. The original and traditional weaving of a Bomkai saree was made in low-count cotton yarn which is usually, coarse, heavy and dyed in intense colors. The weaving of the saree follows the tie and dye method and the procedure used in Bomkai pattern, in the saree, is known as Jala technique.
