Subject: Darpan. Mirrors are required for the daily rituals in the Jagannatha temple. Although, these mirrors are made of brass and do not have glass. The mirrors are used at the time of Abakash of the deities, that is during cleaning of the teeth and bath of the deities. Three metal mirrors are placed in front of the three deities and angled such that their faces are reflected. These mirrors are then bathed with scented water.
