Subject: Natural Dyed Silk Fabric (Red Silk). Natural dyes are colorants derived from plants, invertebrates, or minerals. The mordant and fabric type affects the dye adherence, fastness properties and shades. Lac extract is a red dye extract from the scale insect Laccifer lacca. For dyeing the colorant is separated from the resin.

Subject: Shreya Cotton Saree. This saree has tie and dye design in the anchal (end), body and border and has a white colored body. This saree was procured from weaver Iswar Meher.

Subject: Goul Saree. This saree is designed with macchli (fish) motif on its body. This saree was procured from weaver Khetramohan Meher.

Subject: Double Kumbha Boarder Saree. This saree is made of Korea tussar yarn with one-ply warp and two-ply weft. It has small check design all over the body and a double temple border. The color scheme of the saree is red and white. This saree was procured from weaver Khetramohan Meher.

Subject: Kusumi Saree of Dhalapathar. The nomenclature of this saree is based on the ‘Kusumi’ flower which is deep orange in color. The main motif used for decoration of the anchal (end) is the kusumi flower in different sizes. The ornamentation is made by insertion of extra warp and weft in the anchal (end), body and border. The technique followed for extra weft designing is based on selection/lifting of warp threads through Chiadis and a special device called ‘Kala Bhida Yantra’.

Subject: Sachipar Machha Boarder Saree. Sachipar is a Sambalpuri Saree. It has check patterns that are its signature mark. The anchal (end) of this saree is designed with fish and flower motifs. The saree is woven with black warp and black weft throughout. The color scheme of the saree is red, black and white. This saree was procured from weaver Rajendra Meher.

Subject: Phodakumbha Saree. This is a saree with a traditional phodakumbha - temple design on the border. The color scheme of the saree is red and green. This saree was procured from weaver Rajendra Meher.

Subject: White Saree. The border of the saree is woven with phodakumbha (temple) design and the body of the saree is diapered with mini buti. This saree was procured from weaver Rajendra Meher.

Subject: Sachipar Saree. This saree has tie and dye design in the anchal (end), body and border. A special feature of the Sachipur saree is the check design on the body. This saree was procured by weaver Dasarathi Meher.

Subject: 8 fulia butidar Saree. This saree has eight rows of flower pattern on the border. The body is diapered with rows of alternating motifs of temples and dots. This saree was procured from Anantanarayan Meher

Subject: Danti Puchuki tie and dye Saree. This saree is made with 2/120s mercerized cotton yarn with floral tie dye motif (puchki) and danti design on the anchal (end).

Subject: Traditional Tussar Saree. This saree has a macchli (fish) motif and phodakumbha (temple) border. It is woven in white weft and weft warp.

Subject: Jinia Dhanpatri Saree. Dhanpatri means wheat chaffs going up in straight lines. This saree celebrates the harvest and fertility of Mother Earth through the rows of motifs dhanpatri in the saree's body. The color scheme of the saree is black and red with yellow and white ornamentation. This saree was procured from weaver Bhagabana Meher.

Subject: Jhoti Sakta Saree. This saree is woven with 2/120s mercerized cotton yarn with tie and dye design only in the weft. The saree has a jhoti or alpana motif. Jhoti Chitta is a traditional Odia white art mostly shown in rural areas of Odisha. It is made during festivals like marriage, Manabasa Gurubara and Raja Praba. The tradition of jhoti chitas has been utilized used to make saree prints. This saree was procured from weaver Bhagabana Meher.

Subject: Haldia Boarder Patli Saree. This saree has sakta motif all over it. It is woven with 2/120s mercerized cotton yarn with tie and dye design both in warp and weft. It is dyed in yellow turmeric (haldia). This saree was procured from weaver Bhagabana Meher.

Subject: Paper Design Saree. This saree is diapered with flower motif. It is woven with 2/120s mercerized cotton yarn with tie and dye design in weft only. The color scheme of the saree is red and orange. This saree was procured from weaver Bhagabana Meher.

Subject: Tussar Hata Kumbha Saree. This saree is has the kumbha (temple) motif that has been created with strands of yarn via shuttle. The color scheme of the saree is light and dark brown. This object was procured from Sambalpuri Bastralaya Handloom Co-operative Society Ltd.

Subject: Traditional Silk Saree. This is a traditional silk saree has motifs woven by dobby and jala with extra warp and extra weft. It is manufactured with warp three-ply Malda and weft four-ply Charkha with reed 88 pick 92/inch with acid color. The saree is woven in blue warp and blue weft. This object was procured from Sambalpuri Bastralaya Handloom Co-operative Society Ltd.

Subject: Check Buti Tussar Saree. This saree has a traditional phodakumbha (temple) design on the border and a check design with buti on the body. The color scheme of the saree is red and green in anchal (end) and the body is in white color. The body is diapered with small butis of fish and crab. This saree was procured from weaver Khetramohan Meher.

Subject: Harapriya Saree. This saree is woven with tie and dye technique and has a blouse piece. The checkerboard pattern in the saree's body has been created using the double ikat technique. This saree was procured from weaver Rajendra Meher.

Subject: Habaspuri Saree. This saree is named after the place of production i.e. Habaspur village of Kalahandi district. The anchal (end) is decorated with local tribal motifs developed by extra weft technique. It is used as a bridal saree. This object has been procured from the Weavers Service Centre.

Subject: Utkala Laxmi Tie & Dye Cotton Saree. The body of the saree has different forms of lotus, placed in the center of the square formed by intersecting floral ikat lines both horizontally and longitudinally. The border and anchal (end) also have lotus motifs. This saree is popularly known as 'Utkal Laxmi' because lotus is associated with Goddess Lakshmi. This is the main traditional double ikat saree of Sambalpur area of Odisha. This saree was procured from Ghanashyam Meher.
