Dhokra is a craft made by the lost-wax casting technique in which a molten metal is poured into a mold that has been created by means of a wax model. This craft has a tribal lineage and flourishes in the tribal belts of Odisha. This object was procured from the Assistant Director of Textiles, Koraput who procured it from Kabiraj Urlaka of Jhigidi village.

It translates as follows : Budharakhita's mother Amoha-asi has erected this Bodhisattva together with her parents in her own convent (or temple or monastery built by sakas) for the welfare and happiness of all sentient beings. The sharply incised three line Brahmi epigraph is translated as follows: In the 93rd year (171A.D) of Maharaja Devaputra Vasudeva, in the 4th month of Hemanta as on the 25th day, an image of the Buddha, who has full grasp of knowledge and whose faith cannot be shaken, was set up along with parasol by a Buddhist monk who was Kayastha (?) after paying due respect to his father Sarvanandi, mother Jivsri and Arya Dhana . Subject: Somaskanda (Skanda missing), back: This sculpture represents Shiva seated with his consort Uma (Parvati) and their child Skanda (now missing) in the center. Image of the holy family Shiva with Parvati and the child Skanda symbolizes universal parentage. The couple are extolled as the father and mother of the world jagatah pitrau by Kalidasa who has left an immortal epic on birth of Kumara, Kumarasambhava. The Saiva Siddhanta system as developed in the Tamil land lays great emphasis on the concept of Ammai and Appan (i.e., Mother and Father) for Shiva and Parvati. Large number of So maskanda images exist, in apart because a range of Agamic texts specify that if a temple does not possess the exact image required for a specific ritual procession, So maskanda bronze can be used as a substitute.

Subject: Jinia Dhanpatri Saree. Dhanpatri means wheat chaffs going up in straight lines. This saree celebrates the harvest and fertility of Mother Earth through the rows of motifs dhanpatri in the saree's body. The color scheme of the saree is black and red with yellow and white ornamentation. This saree was procured from weaver Bhagabana Meher.
