The Vardhamana shrine probably came into existence between the reigns of Rajendra Chola I (1012-1044 CE) and Kulottunga I (1070-1120 CE). It may have been built of sandstone but the original structure has fallen from dilapidation. The Pushpadanta shrine was probably built later than the Vardhamana shrine. The Vasupujya shrine has a granite plinth.
