Subject: View of the stupa. The mound was first excavated in 1973-4. Only the lower portion the stupa survives. There are projections (ayakas) facing the cardinal directions. The stupa is dedicated to Sujata, who is said to have presented the Buddha with rice milk, who broke his fast just prior to his meditation leading to enlightenment.
