A romantic Katha about the relationship of Nagji and Nagmati, who falls in love with each other and gets married secretly. Nagmati's father opposes this union and fixes her marriage with Umar Sumar, hearing this Nagji commits suicide and Nagmati jumps into his funeral pyre. Seeing this unfortunate state of the lovers, Goddess Parvati and lord Shiva appears before the couple and gives them a new life. A Katha is a ballad which is recited and narrated.
